The most iconic feature of the playground is its slide – riding this colossal slide has become a Wellington rite of passage. The slide has become famous for the speed that riders are able to achieve, as well as for the views it offers at the top. The slide’s open top allows visitors to enjoy a view of Wellington city and the harbor while they make their way down – if you manage to catch a quick enough glimpse, that is!
