Thanks to wave pool technology, surf culture is creeping inland. The latest landlocked surf experience is coming to Mesa, Arizona’s Revel Surf wave pool, which is hosting a two-day festival called Revel Ruckus.

The festival takes place from October 24-25, and promises a variety of attractions. Events include a big air contest, cliff diving show, river wave surfing event, skate jam, and fashion show. General admission tickets will set you back $35, but of course there are VIP passes and cabanas that can up that cost.

Slated to attend the festival are a bevy of pros, many of whom have been spotted filming content at the facility, since it opened earlier this year. Those names include Noah Beschen, Jacob Szekely, Blair Conklin, Cameron and Taylor Swanson, Austin Keen, Colby Raha, Omar Hassan, Nathan Fletcher, John Akkerman, Heimana Reynolds, Kevin Meza, Shane Boreland, Travis Sims, Brad Gerlach, and Matt Archbald.

“This festival will bring the true spirit of action sports culture to Arizona – it will give Arizona locals the opportunity to see world class, professional athletes perform at the highest level and experience this radical energy firsthand,” said Shane Beschen, who co-owns the park, in a press release. “I know Arizona has never hosted an event quite like this and we are psyched to bring this experience to the East Valley.”

Revel Surf is a 37-acre development located in Mesa, Arizona. The facility features not one, but two artificial waves. The first is an ocean-style breaking wave created by Swell MFG, and the second is standing wave by UNIT. After several delays and missed opening dates, the facility finally opened to the public in December, 2024.
