The Inertia

Nic von Rupp surfs a lot. He often surfs waves so big that only a select few are interested, but he also surfs waves of a more digestible size. The problem with those waves, though, is that more than a select few are interested, so Nic, along with Albee Layer, decided to head to Iceland in search of good waves without the crowds.

“Twelve days and 2,400 km chasing waves across Iceland from north to south with Albee Layer, Heiðar Logi, and Annie Reickert,” Nic wrote. “This episode continues from the first, from snow to sand, punchy beach breaks, and a taste of the real thing across Iceland’s most remote coastlines.”

Nic is pretty used to non-tropical waters, but Iceland was a little different. The winds howled. The temperatures plummeted. But the waves? Oh, they were there. And they were good.
